Terms & Conditions for Users (Customers)

Effective Date: 1 September 2025

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Shahi Mokam (“Platform”, “we”, “our”, “us”), available at www.shahimokam.com and its mobile applications. By creating an account, placing an order, or accessing our services, you agree to comply with these Terms in accordance with the Digital Commerce Policy 2021 of Bangladesh, the Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009, and other applicable laws.

User Responsibilities

  • Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to place orders (or supervised by a guardian).

  • Account Information: You must provide accurate and complete details (name, phone, address, email). Misrepresentation may lead to account suspension.

  • Use of Services: You may use the Platform for lawful purposes only (ordering products, food, medicines, parcels, groceries).

  • Payment: Payment options include Cash on Delivery, Mobile Banking, Debit/Credit Cards, or Wallet. Fraudulent payment activity will lead to legal action.

  • Order Acceptance: Orders are subject to seller confirmation and product/service availability.

  • Prohibited Conduct: You may not misuse the Platform (fake orders, abuse, harassment of sellers/riders).

Limitation of Liability

Shahi Mokam is a facilitator between users, sellers, and delivery partners. Responsibility for product quality, safety, authenticity, and legality rests with the respective sellers.

Dispute Resolution

In case of disputes, Shahi Mokam will mediate but reserves the right to make final decisions. Users may also exercise rights under the Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009.

 

Terms & Conditions for Sellers (Vendors/Merchants)

Seller Obligations

  • Must provide valid Trade License, BIN/VAT Registration, and bank details during onboarding.

  • Must comply with Bangladesh laws and Shahi Mokam policies for product listings.

  • Prohibited Products: counterfeit goods, expired food/medicines, alcohol, narcotics, tobacco, arms, and restricted items under Bangladesh law.

  • Sellers are solely responsible for product quality, warranty, authenticity, and legal compliance.

  • Must maintain stock accuracy and update prices regularly.

  • Must comply with refund and return policies set by the platform.

Commission & Fees

  • Platform commission rates and service charges will be deducted as per agreement.

  • Payments will be settled to seller’s designated account after deduction of commission, refunds, and penalties (if any).

Breach

Violations may result in suspension, penalties, or permanent termination.

 

Terms & Conditions for Delivery Partners (Riders/Drivers)

Requirements

  • Must provide valid NID, Driving License (if applicable), Vehicle Papers.

  • Must comply with traffic rules and safety laws.

  • Riders are responsible for safe, timely, and professional delivery.

Payment

  • Delivery partners will receive agreed delivery fees after deduction of platform commission/service charges.

Prohibited Conduct

  • Misuse of customer data, harassment, intoxicated driving, or theft will lead to termination and legal action.
